Ysgol Pen Barras is a Welsh medium County Primary School in Rhuthun,
with some 301 pupils between the ages of three and eleven.
Ysgol Pen Barras is a happy and successful school, which sets high standards, and endeavours to develop children in a
stimulating yet homely environment, providing opportunities for pupils to fulfill their potential, whether that may be
academically, or in a sporting context or within the arts. We endeavor to provide a balanced, rich curriculum and a wide
range of experiences to develop each child as an individual and prepare him/her for their journey through life.
Our aim is to educate pupils so that they become bilingual and therefore develop ‘two windows to the world’.
